Since Elia and I had almost a year and a half to plan this wedding, we had a lot of discussions about color scheme. From the start navy was always going to be a color, and then coral came into play. You may remember an inspiration board inspired by this color scheme. Elia originally wanted to go with coral bridesmaids dresses, but it is a really hard color to get the perfect dress in, so navy was the route that was chosen. Because of this, we decided that the linens and the flowers were the place to find the coral. The hard part with this is you have to make sure you get a coral that is more pink then orange, otherwise it will look like a BSU Pep Rally. Also we didn't want the decor to look too nautical. So here is what we came up with......
Inside the tent we hung huge 5 foot paper lanterns from the celling and we brought white leather couches into the tent to give it a more intimate feel. On the bar we had a vodka ice luge carved into the shape of the University of Oregon "O" as a special surprise for James. It certainly was the hit of the night.
As always I want to thank my staff, the best staff in the world. As well as Hillary Maybery for the great photos, Judith McQueen for your sensational food as well as your amazing staff. And last but not least, Elia and James, I am so glad you loved your wedding and I can't wait to see you guys when you come to visit!

Real Wedding: Elia and James, Part 1
I have to say that I am especially fond of Elia and James for quite a few reasons. First of all I have been working with them to plan this wedding for about 19 months, so that alone allows me to really get to know a couple. And second, James went to the University of Oregon, which for any of you who read this blog regularly know, is where I went to school, so I immediately liked him. But besides this, these guys are just genuinely great people. I am going to miss talking to them all the time and all of our funny inside jokes, but they visit Sun Valley often so I will be seeing them again soon.
So on to the wedding. I thought I would start off by showing some pictures of the bride and groom, and all the fun bride details, and then a few shots of the cocktail hour. Once again the talented Hillary Maybery photographed the wedding, and a wonderful caterer Judith McQueen, feed everyone till they were stuffed on sensational food.
The wedding reception took place on a beautiful property here in town. The weather was perfect, and the guests had a great time. They even got to take a trolley car from the church to the reception. It was quite a sight. Just take a look at the trolley lady, so you can only imaging.
Tomorrow I will have tons more shots of the dinner, the tent, and much more details!

Real Wedding: Rikki and RJ, Part 2
Here are some more detail shots from the wedding. Stay tuned for more pictures of the bridal party, the reception, and all the other fun! These first pictures are of the cocktail hour, where we had a Hawaiian Trio serenading the guests. And the guests were asked to fill out a wishing card for Rikki and Rj, and hang the wishes on this wishing tree.
After the cocktail hour guests were ushered into the tent, where CK's Restaurant, catered an abundant feast for the guest. And the dinner was followed up with hours of dancing. Please enjoy, and again thank you Hillary Maybery for sharing the first of these detail shots!
I do also have to share some shots of the candy buffet, I have to say I have never seen people have so much fun attacking this huge amount of candy and sweets!!
Last but not least I want to send out a huge thank you to my staff and all of the other vendors who worked so hard on this wedding. I could not do my job without you all and your support. Thank you so much!!
