Real Wedding: Carolyn and Ross

I gave you all a sneak peak of this wedding a couple weeks ago, my good friends Ross and Carolyn got married in Carolyn's parents back yard.  I was lucky enough to be one of the bridesmaids.  The extremely talented Kirsten Shultz, photographed the wedding.  The following pictures are more of the wedding party, but details will follow soon.  Enjoy......

Published: Genevieve and Jared Get Married

As many of you saw in previous posts, I was fortunate enough to do an amazing wedding this winter for Genevieve Cortese and Jared Padalecki.  And it is never more fun, then to get weddings published.  The summer issue of Sun Valley Magazine, has done just that and published a story on this wonderful wedding.  Please take a second to read the story and let me know what you think.  And just for fun here are few more of my favorite pictures from the wedding.

Just a Few More Details....

I forgot to include a few more fun details from my winter wedding, they are just so cute I had to share.  And again all of these pictures come from Kirsten Shultz and the logo designs are from Butterfly Designs.  First up we have the welcome gift bag, the bag included fun stuff like sun screen, Sun Valley water, Sun Valley beer, just to name a few of the things.

Another fun extra were these Uggs we got for the bridesmaids and flower girls.  Michelle designed the patch for the back of the shoe.  There is nothing better then slipping on some Uggs after a long night of dancing and not to mention the feet of snow they had to get through to get to their cars.

And my last fun detail is the going away snacks we provided for the guests at the end of the night.  Each guest was given a bag of donut holes and and old school milk carton, to munch on in the car.

Real Wedding: Genevieve and Jared

Yesterday I shared with you some of the ceremony pictures and a few flowers.  Now I have the dinner tables and the after party.  We very much wanted this wedding decor to be very clean and simple, yet elegant too. And a big thank you goes out to my staff, Kirsten Shultz, Michelle of Butterfly Designs, The Valley Club, and That's Entertainment.

Real Wedding: Genevieve and Jared

This winter I was lucky enough to do a fantastic wedding, where I was able to have tons of fun with the flowers and the decor.  Now I get to share some of these pictures with you.  And as always Kirsten Shultz took the most amazing pictures ever! There are so many great ones of just the details I have to do it in two posts.  So here is some ceremony details and some pre-wedding decor details.  I hope you love this wedding as much as I do! The wedding took place at The Valley Club, a local private golf club.  And since it was the middle of winter and we couldn't hold the ceremony outdoors, we tented the back patio.   So we used a clear tent and it still gave the impression of being outside, but was still nice and toasty.

We had a great time figuring out what to do for the place cards.  Since this town is best known for skiing, it only seemed appropriate to create lift tickets with the guests name on one side and the table name to be on the other.  And all of the table names were ski runs from on our mountain.  Michelle from Butterfly Designs was able to create all of the paper goods for the wedding, including gift bags, menu cards, programs, welcome letters, coasters, just to name a few of the paper goods.

Real Wedding: Buddy and Shay

The minute I met Buddy and Shay I knew I was going to have a great time planning and designing their wedding. I am not sure if there are two people better suited for each other. Buddy is an old school southern guy who loves tradition, and Shay is a local Idaho girl who is most happy hip deep in the river fishing. So you can just imaging that we were bringing two very different worlds together for this wedding. The wedding was held here in Sun Valley in Buddy and Shay's back yard, and people traveled from all over the country to get here.


One of the first thing I learned about Shay is that she is not a big fan of wearing dresses. However after a bit of a search she found just the perfect tea-length dress by Reverie. When she walked down the aisle with her father you could just see the love in Buddy's face.


The ceremony was held in the back yard with the Bald Mountain making the most beautiful back drop. After the ceremony the guest mingled and had a great food surprise waiting for them on the other side of the house. Buddy and Shay's world very much revolves around their dogs, so for the cocktail hour we had a life sized ice sculpture of one of their dogs made to be the centerpiece of the raw sea food bar.

After the ceremony the guests went into the tent for dinner. We filled the dinner tent with tons of trees and bushes to make it feel like an English garden, and topped the tent off with sparking chandeliers. For the entertainment, later in the evening, the guests were led down a flower filled path into the dancing tent, where the guest danced the night away under the summer sky.
